What we publish, and what we hold back
Every number on this site is already public at the place it is computed, with the sample it was computed over printed beside it. There is no bulk download yet — the section at the bottom explains why that is a deliberate gap rather than a missing feature.
Where each measurement can be read
- Quality of the analysis
- Agreement between two models, calibration drift, invariance under entity swaps, and blinding coverage — each with its sample size and window, read live from the database.
- How framing is measured
- The rubric, the party-alignment estimate, and why left/centre/right was retired as a reader-facing axis.
- Coverage of a place
- Article counts and framing for a state, district or constituency, with a floor below which a cell is hatched rather than drawn.
- Who owns each outlet
- Human-committed, evidence-cited, with superseded entries kept.
- Which outlets are read
- The complete list the coverage figures are computed over.
- When a number changed
- Every revision to a published measurement, and the reason.
What we will not release
- Anything about individual readers. There is no reader-level export, no inferred-leaning list and no reader-detail view to export from. The absence of the mechanism is the guarantee — audience data is never joined to anything a client can see.
- Article text. The scraped body of someone else’s article is not ours to redistribute. Every number we computed from it is.
- Any composite score for a candidate or a seat. Not behind a flag, not as an export column, not on request. Coverage is not opinion and neither is electability; the reasoning is here.
- Cells below their publication floor. A figure computed over too little coverage is withheld at the query, not hidden at the page — it never reaches the browser at all. The count is always returned, so you can tell an empty cell from a neutral one.
Why there is no download button yet
Because the protections above are enforced on the queries behind each page, and a bulk file is a new path that would have to re-establish every one of them before a single row left. Building the button first and the floors afterwards is the order that leaks, and a file with a thin cell in it cannot be recalled once someone has it.
If you need the underlying measurements for research or reporting, ask us and say what you are trying to find out. That is slower than a download and it is currently the honest option.
