How we define a documented tie

A tie is documented when it exists on a record a reader can open: an election-commission donor filing, a court judgment naming the holder, an official party position held by the holder, or a signed public statement of allegiance. Never a social-media post, never an inference from coverage, and never a model’s estimate. A holder with no marker is a holder with no tie on our record — which is a statement about our evidence, not about them.

How to correct this

If a row here is wrong or out of date, tell us. A report creates a proposal for a human to review; it never edits the live row, and it never deletes the old one.
