The ownership block names who owns the outlet that published a story, and any documented link between that owner and a political party.
Who wrote it
A person on our team wrote each ownership entry and linked the public record behind it. A model did not produce it. That is why it carries a "verified" label, which looks different from a model estimate.
Why it matters
Ownership is context. It does not prove that any one story is slanted. It helps you read a story knowing who stands behind the outlet.
