In brief
Due to an El Nino-induced water shortage, authorities have extended the Dussehra holidays at the Basara Triple IT campus.
The campus requires 25 lakh litres of water daily, but only 15 lakh litres are currently being supplied.
Officials plan to resume classes only after restoring the water supply to over 25 lakh litres, primarily by sourcing it from the Godavari river.
