In brief
The Tamil Nadu government led by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has issued orders allowing six morning shows and up to five daily movie shows, reversing a previous ban on early screenings.
The new rules, effective from November 3, 2026, permit shows from 6 AM until 2:30 AM, with an additional sixth show allowed on weekends and public holidays.
The policy reversal comes ahead of the release of the films 'Scene Kadhal' and 'Mookuthi Amman 2'.
