In brief
Choppadandi MLA Medipalli Satyam stated that water from the Godavari river does not directly flow into Andhra Pradesh after crossing Medigadda, but instead flows within Telangana up to Bhadrachalam.
He defended the state government's decision to keep the barrage gates open, citing safety concerns and insufficient water levels for pumping, while criticizing KT Rama Rao's claims that water is being wasted.
